Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® has extended its deadline to accept applications for the 2010 Radio Humanitarian and Promotion Awards, to be handed out at CRS 2010, held Feb. 24-26, 2010. The Radio Humanitarian Award is presented to stations in Large, Medium and Small market categories for public service performed between November 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009. Stations must submit a brief written presentation (two pages maximum including photos) of their community service efforts during the eligibility period to be considered for the award. Entries for the Radio Humanitarian Award should be sent to humanitarian@crb.org by January 15, 2010. The Radio Promotion Award is presented to stations in Large, Medium and Small market categories for the most creative and effective radio promotions held between November 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009. Stations must submit a one-page summary of their most successful promotion from the past year to be eligible for the award. Photos and videos are acceptable as part of a submission. Judging criteria includes: creativity, implementation strategy, effect on cume (if measured), goals achieved, and style of submission. All entries must be sent in PDF format to promotions@crb.org by January 15, 2010. Radio Promotion Award winners will receive a free trip to this year’s Country Radio Seminar, including airfare (up to $500 of actual cost), hotel accommodations and registration fees. CRB will publish a complete list of award winners at a later date. All applicants for the Radio Humanitarian and Radio Promotion Awards must include their name, city, station call letters, daytime phone number and market size in their submissions.
