Songwriting events take on increased role at Country Radio Seminar
(Nashville, Tenn. – Jan. 26, 2012) Country Radio Seminar has rolled out a stellar lineup of hit songwriters for its new after-hours destination, “Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley,” held on the Wednesday and Thursday night of CRS 2012.
Casey Beathard, Jim Beavers, Corey Crowder, Marv Green, David Lee, Wendell Mobley and Rivers Rutherford are the Wednesday night (Feb. 22) performers, while Rhett Akins, Tom Douglas, Ben Hayslip and Jeffrey Steele will perform Thursday night (Feb. 23). The Acoustic Alley is open from 9:30 p.m. until midnight in the Belmont Room inside the Renaissance Hotel. Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40 and SunTrust Bank are sponsoring the new after-hours songwriter event.
“There's nothing better than hearing a favorite song sung by the writer,” says Kingsley. “For a music lover, that's as good as it gets!”
Only registered CRS 2012 attendees are allowed entry into Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley and the newly updated Badge Bar, sponsored by Cumulus Media Networks and City National Bank and located this year in the Renaissance Ballroom.
Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley strengthens an already impressive lineup of songwriter events at CRS 2012, including WCRS Live! (featuring BMI writers Matraca Berg, Natalie Hemby and Lori McKenna) and KCRS Live! (featuring R&J Records songwriter/performers Jim Collins, Andy Gibson, Aaron Lewis and Bobby Pinson).
CRS 2012 $499 Regular Rate registration expires this Friday, Jan. 27. On-Site registration increases to $599 effective Jan. 28. Visit www.CountryRadioSeminar.com to register today.
