Country Radio Seminar Embraces Innovative New Research and Presentation for CRS 2013, Feb. 27 – March 1

Country Radio Seminar Embraces Innovative New Research and Presentation for CRS 2013, Feb. 27 – March 1
Ethnographic video research study to take a unique glimpse behind-the-scenes with its “A Day In The Life Of A Country Fan” presentation

(Nashville, Tenn. – Sept. 4, 2012)  Country Radio Seminar’s 2013 research study promises to be one of the most interesting, entertaining, compelling and useful research presentations CRS has ever seen, according to market research firm Edison Research.

Titled “A Day In The Life Of A Country Fan,” the scope of the project is almost entirely video-based in its methodology and presentation.  Known as Ethnographic Research, the CRS 2013 study will examine the Country music fan in their day-to-day environment, recording in high-definition video various activities conducted at work, at home and in their vehicles.  This research method is relatively new compared to the quantitative-based studies and focus group approaches presented in previous years at Country Radio Seminar.

“We are very excited to have Edison Research bring us to a new level this year by actually taking us into the home, car, office and other natural environments of the Country fan,” says CRS Executive Director Bill Mayne.  “This will allow us to see how they listen to radio, discover new music, use new media and more in their daily life.  Joel Raab and his research committee have put together one of the most powerful and useful experiences at CRS 2013 for our attendees to take back to their businesses for profit.  You simply cannot afford to miss this!”

Participants will represent a cross-section of male and female Country fans ages 18-54 from Country lifestyle and non-Country lifestyle markets and reflect users with varying degrees of technological advancement.  Edison Research is partnering with New York-based Ethnographic Research experts Prosperity Productions to conduct the study.
“We are so pleased to be working together with CRS again this year,” says Edison Research Co-founder and President Larry Rosin.  “Our team will be spending the entire time from today until CRS in February working to bring the Country Radio industry an extremely dynamic, interesting and useful presentation.  We will be delving deeply into exactly what role Country Music and Country Radio play in people’s lives.”

The results of the study will be presented by Edison Research’s Larry Rosin and Prosperity Productions’ Lori Hamilton on Wednesday, Feb. 27, the first day of CRS 2013.
