CRS 2012 New Faces of Country Music Show Performers Announced



(Nashville, Tenn. – Nov. 28, 2011) Hunter Hayes, David Nail, Sunny Sweeney, Thompson Square and Eli Young Band have been announced as the CRS 2012 New Faces of Country Music Show® performers.The 2012 New Faces of Country Music Show will be held Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Country Radio Seminar inside the downtown Nashville Convention Center.  Co-sponsored by the Academy of Country Music and Muscular Dystrophy Association, the annual new artist showcase event officially closes out the three-day seminar and remains one of the most anticipated performances each year at CRS.  Tickets to last year’s New Faces show sold out more than six weeks prior to CRS 2011.“The future of Country radio happens every twenty minutes on the New Faces of Country Music Show!  Radio has spoken clearly with this year’s wonderful lineup of Hunter Hayes, David Nail, Sunny Sweeney, Thompson Square and Eli Young Band for the crown jewel of CRS 2012,” says New Faces Committee Chair John Crenshaw.

New On-Site Destinations Announced for CRS 2012

St. Jude Internet Café, Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley and CRS Badge Bar offer attendees improved conveniences, entertainment options

(Nashville, Tenn. – Oct. 31, 2011) Country Radio Seminar continues to improve the CRS experience for its attendees with this year’s addition of a new Internet café, after-hours songwriters in the round and an updated, professionally redesigned lounge.   

For the first time ever, Country Radio Seminar is offering free, on-site Internet with its new St. Jude Internet Café.  Sponsored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the café serves coffee and beverages and provides free wireless or wired Internet access for all CRS attendees.  Cell phone charging stations are also available in the café.

On the Wednesday and Thursday night of the seminar, Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley will be open for after-hours acoustic entertainment. Hosted by radio legend Bob Kingsley, the venue will showcase performances from some of Nashville’s top songwriters.  Sponsored by Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 and co-sponsored by SunTrust Bank.

The private CRS Badge Bar has been expanded and completely redesigned for CRS 2012 by nationally recognized Nashville party planner Randi Lesnick.  Featuring new décor and furniture, a fully stocked bar and a modern, relaxed atmosphere, the Badge Bar is open to CRS attendees only.  Sponsored by Cumulus Media and City National Bank.

Jacobs Media Going Mobile Presentation: Get Smart!
The Jacobs Media presentation is a comprehensive presentation of how consumers use mobile media and its impact today and in the future.  This audio/visual presentation employs examples of real consumers using and interacting with their mobile devices.  Hosted by Fred Jacobs, Classic Rock format pioneer and founder of audience research and radio consultancy, Jacobs Media.

Branding: What It Really Is and How to Build One:
Forbes contributor and Chief Strategist at branding/consumer engagement agency Access Brand Strategies, Paul Jankowski helps define what a brand is and effective ways attendees can build theirs.  His book, “How to Speak American: Building Brands in the New Heartland,” calls out ad agencies on the coasts for their dismissive attitude towards the “New Heartland,” the biggest cultural segment in the U.S.  This panel explores the role that core values play in buying behavior and in listener engagement with Country radio.

Turbo Charging Your High Octane Air Talent:
Veteran talent coach and former morning radio pro Steve Reynolds of The Reynolds Group conducts a training session for managers and programmers who coach talent in PPM markets.  Using tools like The Wheel of Content© and The Scorecard©, Reynolds educates managers on how to talk to their air talent to improve what they're doing and help them perform better with the new measurement.

Brainstorming To Win:
Led by Executive VP/The Center for Sales Strategy’s Matt Sunshine, this panel outlines step by step brainstorming techniques using real world case studies.  Attendees will learn how brainstorming can help them achieve marketing goals and execute successful promotions.  Programs Sunshine has authored for the 28-year sales performance consulting company include the Interactive Insight webinar, the Digital Sales Accelerator and the Facilitator’s Certification Workshop.

Marketing That Gets Advertisers Results:
Another panel hosted by The Center for Sales Strategy’s Matt Sunshine, this panel focuses on the Marketing Strategy Model.  Sunshine explains this five-step model and then examines case studies to give seminar attendees actionable knowledge they can utilize with specific clients.
