BRAD PAISLEY ANNOUNCED AS HOST OF 3RD ANNUAL MUSIC CITY JAM


Burbank, CA (August 28, 2006) -
The Academy of Country Music® and Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. ® (CRB) have announced that Brad Paisley will host and headline this year's Music City Jam. The concert which will take place on Wednesday, February 28 at the Nashville Convention Center is sponsored by the Academy of Country Music and United Stations Radio Networks.

"The Academy of Country Music is proud to announce that our reigning Album of the Year, Video of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year winner, Brad Paisley, will host this year's kick-off event, Music City Jam," announced Bob Romeo, Executive Director of the Academy of Country Music. "Paisley is a triple threat. He writes amazing songs, is a skilled guitar player and a stellar performer and knowing Brad, I'm sure he'll have some surprises in store for CRS registrants. This year's show is not to be missed."

"Brad Paisley is a longtime friend of The Country Radio Broadcasters, and has participated in many of our events over the years," said Ed Salamon, Executive Director of The Country Radio Broadcasters. "I have great memories of Brad playing in tribute to Eddy Arnold when CRB honored Eddy with a Career Achievement Award in 1999, and I am really looking forward to this one-of-a-kind event where Brad will interact with other stars."

Brad Paisley's fourth Arista Nashville album, Time Well Wasted, was released on August 16, 2005, and sold 192,747 units in its first week, setting a new career-high for Brad and debuting at #1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and at #2 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.  The Platinum-certified disc held the #1 slot for two weeks and became the fourth of Paisley's back-to-back Platinum + albums, with his total sales now topping 7 million.  Paisley recently brought home the most wins from the Academy of Country Music Awards, with Album of the Year (Time Well Wasted), and Video and Vocal Event of the Year for "When I Get Where I'm Going" bringing his total to six ACM Awards and five CMA Awards.  Paisley's TIME WELL WASTED tour was listed as the number three country tour in Billboard's Top 25 chart for the first half of 2006 with over 450,000 tickets sold. The tour will continue through the fall.  Paisley¹s latest hit "The World" held the #1 spot on Billboard's country single charts for three consecutive weeks bringing his total #1's to six.
