Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® has announced the election of new board member Mike McVay to the CRB Board of Directors.



Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® has announced the election of new board member Mike McVay to the CRB Board of Directors.


McVay has more than 35 years of experience in broadcasting as an on-air personality, Program Director, Operations Manager, Account Executive, Station Manager, General Manager and station owner.
 
"I am thrilled to serve on the CRB Board.  I admire the success of the format and the camaraderie of the Broadcasters," said McVay.  "CRS is the finest In-Format convention there is. I hope to be able to contribute and add a welcome perspective."
 
"Having Mike McVay's brilliant mind on the CRB Board will help us expand our horizons and continue to plan for a successful future for the Country Radio Seminar ® , " said CRB President Becky Brenner.
 
McVay's programming experience includes markets in Los Angeles, Calif., Louisville, Ky., and Cleveland, Ohio, where he also served as General Manager.  He has owned radio stations in Florida, Michigan, and Hawaii and worked as an international consultant in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Latin America, Mexico, France and England.

McVay is the author of the books "The 7 Habits of Highly Successful Radio Stations" and "Programming In A Multiopoly World," as well as a contributing writer to Radio & Records and Radio Ink magazine.

McVay replaces the departing Mike Peterson, who has left the country format to pursue another career path.
