CRB, Inc. Accepting Submissions for CRS-39® Radio Humanitarian and Promotion Awards


Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. (CRB) is now accepting applications for the 2008 Radio Humanitarian and Promotion Award to be given at CRS-39®.

The Radio Humanitarian Award will be presented to stations in large, medium, and small market categories for public service performed between November 1st, 2006 and December 31st, 2007. To be considered for this award, stations must submit a brief written presentation (two pages maximum including photos) of the station's community service performed during that period. Entries for the Radio Humanitarian Award should be sent to humanitarian@crb.org by January 18th, 2008.

The Radio Promotion Award will be presented to stations in large, medium, and small market categories for creative and effective promotions executed between November 1st, 2006 and December 31st, 2007. Stations interested in entering the promotion competition should submit a one-page summary of their best country radio promotion from the past year. Photos and videos that help illustrate a promotion to the judges will be accepted. Radio Promotion Award winners will appear in the CRS 39® Radio Promotion Book and win a trip to CRS 39®, including airfare*, hotel and seminar registration. Judging criteria include: creativity, implementation strategy, effect on cume (if measured), goals achieved, and style of submission. All entries must be sent by January 11th, 2008 in PDF format to promotions@crb.org.

All applicants for the Radio Humanitarian and Radio Promotion Award must include their name, station call letters and city, daytime phone number and market size in their submissions. Stations may submit more than one entry.
