CRB, Inc. Announces Radio Sales Day at CRS 38

CRB, Inc. Announces Radio Sales Day at CRS 38

Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. (CRB) has officially made Friday, March 2, 2007 Radio Sales Day this year at Country Radio Seminar 38 (CRS-38). This is the second time CRB has offered a separate full day's registration for Friday only.  Registrants will be able to attend a full day of CRS activities as well as Friday night's annual New Faces of Country Music Show. Registration for this special offer is only $280 before February 2, 2007. On-site registration for the Sales Day after February 2 will be $335. This offer is available to radio sales staff and advertisers only.

"My station wrote a million dollars in new billing from an idea that I heard at CRS so I'm a believer", said Caroler Bowen General Manager WKIS-FM, Miami, Florida. "I think every Country radio station should send at least one sales rep to CRS Sales Day, if not for the entire convention, to bring new revenue generating ideas home."

This year, Friday's schedule will include several items specifically focused on the sales curriculum. There are six panels scheduled:

Research Presentation (9:00 AM - 9:50 AM) - Edison Media Research and the CRB team up for our third annual mega-study of Country's P-1 listeners. We'll look at whether Country can sustain its positive momentum for a third year, the impact of new media and other outside exposure on Country radio. We'll also look at whether the resurgence of Top 40 and pop music in some markets has been noticed by Country fans, and we'll give you a snapshot of Country's hottest new artists.

Prospecting: How To Hit The Motherload (SALES) (10:00 AM - 10:50 AM) - This panel will help you qualify NTR targets, true new business targets and sports targets, as well as teach you what to do when you have a legitimate lead.  Gain valuable insights in identifying the decision maker, learn to track down leads in your market and help any sales person at any level in any market "break through" the gatekeepers and find the person who will say "YES." You will leave with techniques, targets and ideas for increasing the bottom-line revenue.

WWW.CLICKYOURMONEYMAKER.COM (SALES) (11:00 AM - 11:50 AM) - This panel will teach you how to make money with your website, utilize suppliers, infuse your website and on air time and dismiss the myth that market size is irrelevant to making money with your website.  You will leave with actionable ideas for generating and growing revenue using your website.

Capitol Nashville Lunch & Performance (12:00 PM - 1:50 PM) - Lunch and special showcase performances by Trace Adkins and Luke Bryan.

How to Kill the Debt Monster and Master Your Money with Steve Diggs (2:00 PM - 2:50 PM) - People across America are struggling with money problems, depleting our vigor and motivation for our families and our jobs.  Seventy percent of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck.  Credit card debt has doubled in the last decade, and most importantly 90% are not preparing to retire with dignity.  This is a refreshing, fast paced seminar that will show you how to get out of debt using practical steps and how to prepare for a financially secure future.  For over 25 years Steve Diggs headed  The Franklin Group, Inc., a company he founded in 1972.  He sold the firm and now has published four books and over a hundred articles based on his No Debt, No Sweat mantra.

Your Baby is Ugly: Why I Don't Buy Radio, but You Will on Monday! (SALES) (3:00 PM - 3:50 PM) - This panel will examine why some advertisers and agencies do not use radio as a marketing tool.  Top music industry executives will discuss the objectives and benefits of using radio. Learn unique selling points for the country format to combat reluctant advertisers, and acquire documented research to help battle the "doubters." This panel will help you better understand why country radio could be the secret sales weapon you've been not only misunderstanding, but MISSING.

I'll Buy That. Good Commercials Sell. - Featuring Thomas Hripko (4:00 PM - 5:30 PM) - A good commercial makes people listen.  Join advertising guru and the mastermind behind Motel 6's "We'll Leave the Light On For You" campaign to learn new ways to think about the creative process and how to write and produce commercials that work.

New Faces Cocktail Reception (6:00 PM - 7:00 PM) - Join your friends and colleagues in the Center Hall Lobby as CRS-38 prepares to honor the New Faces of Country Music.

New Faces of Country Music Dinner & Show (7:00 PM - 10:00 PM) - One of the most anticipated events of CRS-38, this year the New Faces of Country Music Dinner and Show will feature performances by Jack Ingram, Eric Church, Rodney Atkins, Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert. The event is hosted by ABC Radio Network’s American Country Countdown host Kix Brooks and is sponsored by Radio and Records and The Country Music Association.
