CRB, Inc. IS NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2007 COUNTRY MUSIC DJ and RADIO HALL OF FAME AWARDS


Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. (CRB) is now accepting inductee nominations for the 2007 Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame Awards. The Hall of Fame Dinner and Ceremony will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2007.

On-line nominations for the 2007 inductees into both the DJ Hall of Fame and the Radio Hall of Fame are being accepted through August 30, 2006. Inductee nominations, eligible persons living or deceased, will be accepted from any member of country radio and/or country music industries including the individuals themselves.

If there is an individual who you feel should be nominated, all you have to do is log on to www.crb.org and submit their name. You MUST have a way of contacting the nominee or the nominee¹s next of kin. CRB, Inc. will then contact all nominees and send them the appropriate materials to complete the nomination process. These materials MUST be received by September 30, 2006.

The Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame is dedicated to the recognition of those individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of country radio.

The Criteria for the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame is:

… On air career must have begun at least 25 years ago

… A recognizable contribution to the growth and development of the country radio industry

… An ongoing contribution to the preservation and enhancement of country music as an art form

Prior inductees include Ralph Emery, Charlie Douglas, Bob Kingsley, and Lonnie Bell, Coyote Calhoun, Dan Hollander, Johnny Koval, Bob Mitchell, Terry Dorsey, Lon Helton and Arch Yancey.

The Criteria for the Country Radio Hall of Fame is:
… Radio career must have begun at least 25 years ago

… In addition, the applicant must have contributed both to the growth and development of the country radio industry and to the preservation and enhancement of country music as an art form

Prior inductees include Ed Salamon, Jonathan Fricke, Dan McKinnon and Mack Sanders.

There is no limitation on either Award except that the recipient cannot be a current member of the Board or Agenda Committee of Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.
Plaques commemorating recipients of these awards are on display in the walkway between the Renaissance Hotel and the Nashville Convention Center. Photos, bios and in many cases, radio airchecks of prior winners, can be viewed on www.crb.org.

After a comprehensive review of the applications, a voting committee of country radio and country music industry veterans will make all final decisions regarding inductees.
