CRB, INC. Solicits Hall Of Fame Applicants

Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. (CRB) is again inviting radio and music industry executives to submit inductee nominations for two separate Hall of Fame Awards--the Country Disc Jockey Hall of Fame and the Country Radio Hall of Fame.

Applications for the Year 2005 inductees into both these categories are being accepted through September 30, 2004. Inductee nomination applications (eligible persons living or deceased) will be accepted from any member of the country radio and/or country music industries including the individuals themselves.

According to CRB Director and Disc Jockey Hall of Fame Task Force Chairman, Dale Carter, "Moving this event last year to the night before the Country Radio Seminar really escalated the enthusiasm for the evening. For country radio personalities, this event has become the crown jewel of events. I would encourage anyone who knows of eligible people to submit their names to the Country Radio Broadcasters office."

The Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame is dedicated to the recognition of those individuals who have made significant contributions to the country radio industry through their on-air contributions.

Criteria for the Disc Jockey Hall of Fame is as follows:
€ On-air radio career must have begun at least 25 years ago.
€ Contribution to the growth and development of country radio.
€ Contribution to the preservation and enhancement of country music as an art form.

Prior inductees include Ralph Emery, Charlie Douglas and Bob Kingsley.

Applications for the Country Radio Hall of Fame require that the nominee began their radio career more than 25 years ago. In addition they need to have contributed to the growth and development of the country radio industry, and to the preservation and enhancement of country music as an art form. There is no limitation on this Award except that the recipient cannot be a current member of the Board or Agenda Committee of Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.

This year's CRB Hall of Fame Event and ceremonies have been set for Tuesday, March 1, 2005.

Plaques commemorating recipients of these awards are on display in the walkway between the Renaissance Hotel and the Nashville Convention Center. Photos, bios and, in many cases, radio airchecks of prior winners can be viewed on www.crb.org.

Application forms can be obtained from the CRB offices (Tel. no. 615.327.4487). They may also be downloaded from the CRB web site www.crb.org. E-mail inquiries can be directed to Ed_Salamon@crb.org. All applications must be received in the CRB office (located at 819 18th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37202) by September 30, 2004.

After a comprehensive review of the applications and any supporting material provided, a voting board of country radio and country music industry veterans shall make all final decisions as to inductees
