Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.  Now Accepting 2008-2009 Scholarship Applications

Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.  is now accepting applications for its 2008-2009 annual broadcasting scholarship grant, awarded to schools with programs in the radio broadcasting field.

Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.  provides the scholarship to a school with students who are majoring in broadcasting.  The school then awards the scholarship to students at their discretion.  Emphasis is given to those specifically involved in the Country radio format.

"The single most important thing we can do as members of the country music and radio industry is to provide for the future of our young people," said Michael Osterhout, Chair of the Scholarship Committee.  "We are pleased to be a part of that process through the educational efforts of our applicants and the contributions of the CRB."

Last year's grant was a $25,000 award presented to Green River Community College in Auburn, WA.

Educational organizations wishing to be considered for a scholarship grant can view eligibility requirements and download applications at the Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.  website, www.crb.org, or directly at www.crb.org/scholarships/Scholarship_App.pdf.  Applications are accepted year-round.
