CRB Executive Director Ed Salamon presented Blue Chair/BNA recording artist Kenny Chesney and BMI writer Lady Goodman (Holly Gleason) with CRB certificates of appreciation at a #1 party for "Better As A Memory" held at BMI on November 24, 2008. In making the presentation, Salamon noted that although this was Gleason’s first CRB Award certificate, for many years she had helped Country radio by exposing their artists to a larger audience as a journalist and publicist. Chesney has received many of these awards and is a staple on Country radio. The song was co-written by SESAC writer Scooter Carusoe (Travis Hill). The Country Radio Broadcasters presents this certificate of appreciation to songwriters and artists, on behalf of radio, in recognition of songs which have helped to expand the audience for Country radio.
