CRB, Inc. Reminder for Hall of Fame and Artist Humanitarian Award Applications


Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. (CRB) reminds radio and music industry executives to submit inductee nominations for the 2007 CRB Artist Humanitarian Award and the Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame Awards.  Nominations for the 2008 CRB Artist Humanitarian Award, which recognizes Country artists’ humanitarian efforts, should be postmarked no later than August 31st, 2007.  Additionally, applications from those who have been nominated to the Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame must be postmarked no later than September 14th, 2007 to be considered.
2008 CRB ARTIST HUMANITARIAN AWARD
To be considered for the CRB Artist Humanitarian Award, the CRB requires a presentation detailing the nominee's humanitarian activities and accomplishments. This presentation is not limited in length, but should be concise and in chronological order.  Honorees in the past have been chosen based on information contained in simple typed presentations, as well as from more elaborate presentations that have supporting documentation and letters of recommendation from organizations that the artist has helped.
An artist or an artist representative may submit a presentation for consideration. Presentations should be sent to: Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc., 819 19th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203 to arrive on or before close of business Friday, August 31, 2007. A committee of industry executives will review all entries. COUNTRY MUSIC DJ AND RADIO HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS
Inductee nominations, will be accepted from any member of country radio or country music industries including the individuals themselves.  Recipients may not be a current member of the Board or Agenda Committee of Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. Nominees may be living or deceased.
To nominate someone, log on to www.crb.org and submit their name by clicking on “Hall of Fame” under the “Awards” tab at the top of the website. You MUST have a way of contacting the nominee or the nominee’s next of kin. CRB, Inc. will then contact all nominees and send them the appropriate information to complete the nomination process.
Each nominee representative must submit an application and materials (airchecks, press clippings, awards listings, etc.) in support of the nomination.  These materials MUST be received in the CRB offices (819 18th Ave. S. Nashville, TN 37203) no later than September 14, 2007.
The criteria for the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame are:
  • Country on-air career must have begun at least 25 years ago
  • A recognizable contribution to the growth and development of the country radio industry
  • An ongoing contribution to the preservation and enhancement of country music as an art form
  • Primary contributions on-air
The Criteria for the Country Music Radio Hall of Fame are:
  • Country radio career must have begun at least 25 years ago
  • A recognizable contribution to the growth and development of the country radio industry
  • An ongoing contribution to the preservation and enhancement of country music as an art form
  • Primary contributions off-air
After a comprehensive review of the applications, a voting committee of country radio and country music industry veterans will make all final decisions regarding inductees.
The Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame Dinner and Ceremony will be held the night before the official kick-off of CRS-39 on Tuesday, March 4, 2008.
