Billy Cole, who was inducted into the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame in 2002, passed away Wednesday evening March 7, 2007. The funeral will be Monday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines, IA. 50315-7246. Cole most recently did a weekend program from his home for KMGO, Centerville, IA. He was a classic example of the phrase he used to end his show each day, "The best way to have friends is to be one yourself."
